Coming off Stephen Curry‘s heroic Game 4 performance in an overtime win on the road, the Golden State Warriors once again had the chance to close out their opponent in a gentleman’s sweep.

Though the Portland Trail Blazers put up a far more vicious fight than the Houston Rockets ever did, the Dubs took care of business in Game 5 Wednesday night, advancing to their second straight Western Conference Finals.

Behind 33 points from Klay Thompson, a 29-11-5 stat line from Curry and Draymond Green‘s 13 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and two steals, the Warriors were able to eke out a 125-121 victory at Oracle Arena, closing out a resilient Blazers team and capping off Curry’s second MVP coronation with a win in the process.

Despite 28 points from Damian Lillard and a second half explosion from C.J. McCollum (who finished with 27), Curry was able to hit enough ridiculous shots down the stretch to counter one last desperation run from Portland.

Now that the series is over and several Warriors players are banged up, however, what did we learn? Here’s a look at the five biggest takeaways from Game 5 heading into the conference finals.
