Toronto Raptors: 5 Takeaways From Game 4 Loss To Heat
By Justin Rowan
4. Dwyane Wade is still very good
Dwyane Wade is not done with this league just yet. For all the talk that Wade is past his prime and past the point of being able to swing a series, he is once again showing that he still has that second gear that makes him a terror in the playoffs.
Wade is averaging 27.3 points per game against the Raptors and for the playoffs his net rating is a -plus 3.9 after being a minus-5 during the regular season. It’s clear that he has been saving himself for when the games matter and with all of the adversity the Heat have faced on the injury front, he has stepped up and shown why he is a champion and a leader.
If Whiteside is out for the rest of this series or returns and is limited in any way, it’ll be on Wade to continue to be the driving force of the team and to continue to outplay the struggling All-Star tandem of Toronto.
