Coming off a Game 2 comeback that featured a 22-point fourth quarter turnaround, the Golden State Warriors were riding high. They had three days of rest heading into Game 3 on the road, Stephen Curry was inching closer to a possible return and the Portland Trail Blazers were in a two-game hole, left looking for answers with their backs suddenly against the wall.

Then Game 3 happened, and the Dubs found themselves in a series again as the Blazers became the only team in the NBA to beat them twice in 2015-16.

With a convincing 120-108 victory in Rip City, the Blazers took care of their home-court and outscored the Warriors by 18 in the second quarter to build a double-digit advantage they maintained for most of the second half. Draymond Green and Klay Thompson stepped up once again for the Dubs, but this time, it wasn’t enough to match high scoring nights from Damian Lillard and Al-Farouq Aminu.

In yet another game without Curry, the Warriors were reminded that they are indeed mortal. Here’s a look at the other big takeaways from the Game 3 loss and what it means for the rest of this Western Conference semifinals series.
