Phoenix Suns – Mirza Teletovic

The Phoenix Suns are in a world of hurt after a difficult season, but it’s not difficult to see them making a huge jump if they draft the right players and make the right moves. They currently have three first round selections, in addition to multiple quality veterans in Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Knight, Alex Len and Tyson Chandler. All 19 years of Devin Booker are there as well.

They may try and capitalize on all of that quality talent and parlay it into a trade for a superstar or a higher pick in the draft (if they don’t move up themsleves). Regardless of what they do, they should bring back Mirza Teletovic.

Some people don’t even know who Teletovic is, but all they need to understand is that the Bosnian power forward had a career year. He attempted six three-point shots a game and shot 39 percent on them, averaging over 12 points per game in his fourth NBA season. He’s already 30 years old, but it’s quite possible that Teletovic isn’t done growing as an NBA player, and his three-point shot is already elite among power forwards.

Phoenix has a lot of needs, and there are even more questions about Teletovic’s defense, but rebuilding teams don’t let players with elite skills walk away, and the Suns should put up a fight to keep Mirza.
