Philadelphia 76ers – Allen Crabbe

I initially wrote “anyone” for the player the Philadelphia 76ers should be recruiting, but I decided to dull the half hearted humor and think of a player they could actually use.

Enter Allen Crabbe. Currently in a bench role in Portland, Crabbe makes a great deal of sense as a target for the 76ers because of his offensive capabilities from the perimeter and the willingness for the them to throw a high paying contract at the shooting guard.

The Sixers have a huge need on the perimeter. They found Ish Smith, who has turned into a nice developmental point guard. They are also in line for multiple draft picks, including a chance at Ben Simmons or Brandon Ingram. Both of those players are forwards though, meaning the Sixers would still need to add backcourt talent.

Crabbe is a high upside player who only just received his first opportunity as a scoring weapon. He may not be done growing, and the Sixers should look to lure him in Philly. The need for talented scorers is tremendous.
