Experience: 2nd year, North Carolina. SG. 1988-89 Los Angeles Clippers. Joe Wolf. 10. player. 77

Joe Wolf was entering his second NBA season with the Los Angeles Clippers having missed almost half of his rookie year with injuries.

Given a decent amount of playing time at center, Wolf was not a great scorer for the Clippers. He made up for it by not being a great rebounder or rim protector, either. But at least he wasn’t an accurate shooter, so there was that.

The Clippers won just 21 games in 1988-89, which represented an improvement from the 17 they posted the previous season.

Wolf’s per-game numbers:

Wolf was the 13th overall pick out of North Carolina by the Clippers in the 1987 NBA Draft and he wound up bouncing around the NBA as a backup big man for parts of 11 seasons, also spending time with the Denver Nuggets, Boston Celtics, Portland Trail Blazers, Charlotte Hornets, Orlando Magic and Milwaukee Bucks before retiring in 1999. He also played one season in Spain.

He’s been an assistant coach with the Brooklyn Nets since 2014 and was a head coach in both the Continental Basketball Association and the D-League.
