Kent Bazemore

Kent Bazemore stepped into a larger role with the Atlanta Hawks and has flourished in his role. At only 26 years old, the sweet shooting lefty has replaced DeMarre Carroll in every way necessary, shooting 35.7 percent from long range and 44.1 percent overall. In addition, he accumulated 11.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

There aren’t very many players with Bazemore’s all around skill set that could be had at the price he can be had. His capabilities on the wing would also look very interesting next to Will Barton and Wilson Chandler. I see him and Barton in particular playing off of each other very well. They both have scoring potential, creativity and speed to burn.

There would be concern with him accepting a bench role in Denver, but then again, the Nuggets could also offer to start him at shooting guard in between Mudiay and Gallinari. He has more size than Harris and adds some playmaking ability. At only 26, he’s not incredibly old either, and adding Bazemore would take some pressure off of Mudiay and Gallinari to create everything.

His price will probably rise in order to recruit him away from Atlanta, but he could be one of the biggest steals of free agency for a Denver team in need of his skills. He is willing to fill many roles and can spread the floor while providing a new dynamic to the Nuggets roster.
