Courtney Lee

Lee represents the ideal player to add to the bench of the Denver Nuggets.

Not only does he excel at spreading the floor as an off guard to whoever handles the ball, but he is big enough and skilled enough to hold his own on the defensive end as well. His 37.8 percent shooting from distance last season would have ranked third among players on the Nuggets that shot more than 100 three-pointers.

His Box Plus/Minus (BPM) in just 28 regular season games with the Charlotte Hornets was 1.0, showing that when engaged, he can be a skilled defender. The only two players on the Nuggets with a greater BPM are Jokic and Nurkic.

Lee is a veteran, someone who has been around the NBA and placed in a multitude of situations on good and bad teams. He knows how to win and would be a great complement to Will Barton on the wing as a guy who can let Barton do his thing. This would kick Wilson Chandler to the bench power forward spot, but he has the size and mental fortitude to handle the position.

The Nuggets are in need of perimeter defenders who can teach the young players how to play on that side of the floor. Lee would play that role well, while Mudiay and Gary Harris could stand to learn some more tricks of the trade. Above all, his shooting would provide needed spacing for the team, especially on the wing.
