Phoenix Suns: Blue Cross Blue Shield

The Phoenix Suns have long been praised for having one of the premier medical staffs in the world of professional sports. That hasn’t necessarily changed, but the Suns have become one of the most injury-ravaged teams in the NBA.

In 2015-16 alone, five featured players were severely injured at some point during the season.

Both Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight, the starting guards, missed 30-plus games due to injuries that proved to be season-ending. T.J. Warren suffered a season-ending injury, as well, missing 35 of a possible 82 games.

Throw in Tyson Chandler and Jon Leuer, who both missed 15-plus games, and Phoenix clearly needed medical aid.

It’ll be interesting to see what direction the Suns move towards this coming summer. Bledsoe and Knight are borderline stars, but both Devin Booker and Archie Goodwin excelled in their absence.

Regardless of what Phoenix does in free agency, the recent rush of injuries suggest this team is in dire need of medical salvation.
