Philadelphia 76ers: Lowe’s

The Philadelphia 76ers have a glorious history with a long list of legendary players gracing their team-specific record books. Unfortunately, the Sixers have been the laughing stock of the NBA over the past three seasons.

Just as the Lowe’s slogan says: the 76ers never stop rebuilding—err, improving.

The 76ers are the organization that played home to some of the greatest players in NBA history. That list of icons includes Wilt Chamberlain, Billy Cunningham, Julius Erving, Hal Greer, Allen Iverson, Moses Malone, and Dolph Schayes.

In recent years, however, the 76ers have been stuck in a seemingly endless rebuild.

Philadelphia went 19-63 in 2013-14, 18-64 in 2014-15, and hit a new low at 10-72 in 2015-16. That’s three straight years of futile basketball, with the record progressively getting worse and the roster being rounded out by D-League alumni and multiple draft picks who were injured at the time of their selection.

Perhaps the rebuilding will evolve into improvement with the implementation of the Lowe’s logo.
