3. Philadelphia 76ers: D’Angelo Russell

The 76ers probably wish they could have another chance at this draft for a number of reasons. Their actual selection found himself in plenty of trouble off the court at the beginning of the season and that same player doesn’t have much trade value going forward in a logjammed frontcourt.

Had they known all of those things when they were picking their potential cornerstone franchise talent, I feel they would’ve went with D’Angelo Russell because of his upside and positional need.

Philadelphia didn’t have a real starting point guard all year (apologies to Ish Smith, who deserves a roster spot in this league) and Russell would’ve come in and made a difference making plays for Nerlens Noel and scoring from the perimeter, something the 76ers desperately need going forward.

Yes, he had issues of his own off the floor, but he showed he will take over games for years to come. I’m still a fan of Russell and he would’ve been the best fit in Philly.
