Joffrey Lauvergne – Age 24 – Non-Guaranteed $1.71 million

Joffrey Lauvergne is an interesting case because he started the 2015-16 season very strongly in his first three games, sustained an injury which placed Jokic in the starting lineup, and was unceremoniously replaced when Nurkic returned to the fold. When he was in the lineup, he displayed versatility offensively, but his defense left a lot to be desired.

King Joffrey never had an opportunity to play the power forward position extensively given coach Michael Malone’s preference for Arthur at the backup position to Faried. He doesn’t have the size to deal with centers, but he would be fit to do so against power forwards, and he has displayed enough mobility to be effective in that role.

There are questions if he has the ceiling of a rotation player on and NBA team, and given his non-guaranteed status, there will always be the possibility that Denver lets him go, but he will more than likely be back for 2016-17 – 80 Percent.
