Gary Harris – Age 21 – Guaranteed $1.66 million

Writing about Gary Harris is really fun because it’s very easy to see him as a Nugget next season and the only way he’s not is if the Nuggets either trade up in the draft or move him for a star caliber player.

Harris compliments Mudiay and Jokic very well. He plays off the ball, can spot up, can run off screens, and play inspired defense. He’s also one of the very best cutters in the entire NBA, and the chemistry he’s developed with Jokic has led to some incredibly easy buckets, something every coach preaches.

The only two NBA players I see as the starting shooting guard for Denver next season are Harris or Jimmy Butler. As I detailed in a previous article, the Nuggets could make a move this offseason by trading for one of the best two-way players in the NBA. Seeing as that’s what it would take to oust Harris, it’s more likely he’s the starter next season – 98 percent.
