Conclusion

Overall, the roster is at an impasse. Most of the players fit the character of the rebuild with Mudiay and Jokic. All of them could be gone over the course of next season though. That’s just how the NBA works. The demand for a quick rebuild is just too high, and fans have made their voice heard (Dead Last in the NBA in attendance in 2015-16).

There are many different ways to increase fan attendance numbers. The best way is to win a lot of games, but the Nuggets aren’t quite ready for that yet. The second best way is to acquire players that are exciting, players that fans can rally behind and cheer. These could be star players, or they could be players in the draft that would be great additions down the road.

If I’m Tim Connelly, I meet that somewhere in the middle. He has tough decisions to make, but with excellent building blocks in Mudiay and Jokic, three first round picks, and millions in cap space, the Nuggets will likely look like a different organization heading into 2016-17.
