The Los Angeles Lakers have fired head coach Byron Scott. The obvious question is: who should be his replacement?

Corrective measures have been taken.

Whether fair or foul, much of the blame has landed on head coach Byron Scott. The manner in which he utilized rookie D’Angelo Russell came under fire in 2015-16, and Los Angeles’ appalling record was viewed as unacceptable across Lakers nation.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Lakers have parted ways with coach Scott after two underwhelming seasons.

The question of the hour: who will the Lakers hire to replace him?

The Lakers must determine whether a young and promising head coach is the answer, or if a veteran with experience would be the better fit. With limited middle ground to peruse, Los Angeles must gauge its roster and offseason priorities, and determine the best course of action.

The question is, who are the best available coaching candidates to choose from?
