4. Forgot About Dre

Like Livingston, there’s another Warriors sixth man who got his chance to shine in Game 2, and he provided a similar reminder of just how underrated he can be despite playing for a 73-win team. That’s right, we almost forgot about Dre.

In 33 minutes off the bench, Andre Iguodala had one of those rare nights where his statistical production matched his status as the NBA’s most important sixth man. With the league leader in made three-pointers on the bench, Iggy led the Dubs from three-point range, going 4-for-6 from downtown en route to his 18 points.

Iguodala might have finished with a plus/minus of -1, but most of that negative figure was accounted for in garbage time. Iggy was an efficient 7-of-10 from the floor, helped the Dubs limit James Harden’s production from everywhere but the foul line and he also chipped in three rebounds, three assists and two steals.

If Dre wins the Sixth Man of the Year Award, great. But even if he doesn’t, performances like Monday’s Game 2 gem are a terrific reminder of this team’s depth and Iguodala’s uncanny ability to step up when this team needs him most.
