The Only Team to Beat the League’s Top Two Teams

The Warriors set the league on fire with their 73-9 record and the San Antonio Spurs tied the record for best home record with a 40-1 record at the AT&T Center. Those teams won a combined 140 of the 164 games this season, but the Nuggets got wins over them both.

In a season in which wins were few and far between, the victories against two all-time great teams is something to hang your hat own.

Sure you can say the Spurs rested some key guys, but that’s their culture and they’ve beaten some good teams even with their stars resting.

Denver beat San Antonio 102-98, and Jusuf Nurkic scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Mudiay added 20 points and Nikola Jokic grabbed 15 boards of his own.

The Nuggets didn’t have a great season overall, but they put together some memorable moments that fans should be proud of.
