Late-Game Heroics From Faried and Mudiay

Nope, a furious 20-5 run by the Bucks gave them the lead, 100-98 with 1:21 left in regulation.
After the lead traded hands over the next few possesions, Denver found itself down 102-101 when Danilo Gallinari launched a three-pointer with Kris Middleton offering him no space and to nobody’s surprise, it was way off.
But that’s what the Manimal is for, right? The all-hustle forward Kenneth Faried put back the errant shot with just five seconds remaining, 103-102. Faried had 19 points and nine rebounds.
Anytime you can win on a game-winner, it’s a lasting memory on the season.
Keeping with the theme of game-winners, Mudiay had his moment just last month against the Philadelphia 76ers. Staring defeat in the face, the Nuggets trailed by two points with three seconds remaining and the length of the floor to go.
Darrell Arthur launched the ball to Mudiay near half court, who fumbled the pass and with just over a second remaining launched a shot off the glass for the win. The Nuggets avoided the loss to the embarrassingly bad Sixers, while Mudiay had game-highs 27 points and 11 rebounds.
