NBA: 5 Most Exciting Non-Superstars To Watch
Giannis Antentokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks
Giannis Antentokounmpo was selected with the 15th overall pick in the 2013 draft. With very little about him known besides the fact that he was extremely young and had what would seem to be unlimited upside, he is now considered the biggest steal even at 15th in that draft.
Not only is he putting together a great NBA career, he is touching the surface in becoming potentially one of the top players in the league.
At 6’11” with a 7’3″ wingspan, Antentokounmpo can make it from end-to-end with the ball in three to four dribbles finishing with a dunk. The skills that come along with his size truly make him a one-of-a-kind type of player. Head coach Jason Kidd even moved him to point guard as the season wound down and the Bucks were officially out of the playoffs.
His versatility on both ends of the floor is what makes him such an exciting player to watch. One minute he could be guarding a point guard above the three-point line, the next he could be slashing in the lane with a dunk over a 7-footer. The scariest part of all this?
He’s 21 years old.
It would be a safe bet that within the next year or two, Antentokounmpo will have his name included with the top superstars of the NBA.
He has improved all three years of his young NBA career thus far and now with more control as they experiment tim with him playing point guard, Antentokounmpo will have a chance to flourish and tap into the potential that was projected at the time of the draft.
Sit back and enjoy, folks. This career will be fun to watch.
