12. Marcus Morris
Last year, I would’ve laughed if you had told me that Marcus Morris would be the better Morris twin by a significant margin in a year’s time. However, that’s exactly what’s transpired this season with Mook enjoying a career year as a starter for the Detroit Pistons and Keef being miserable in Phoenix.
On a team that’s completely dependent on its starting unit, Morris is averaging 14.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. He’s only shooting 43.3 percent from the field, but he’s also knocked down 36.2 percent of his three-point attempts.
Based on his numerous comments about his former team and a couple of on-court scuffles (including one with Paul George), Mook is actually more of a potential head case than his brother. But in Detroit, that kind of “Bad Boys” mentality isn’t as big a deal, especially if he continues to produce in the first starting role of his career.
