20. Jon Leuer — Leuer needs work on the defensive end, and it’s regrettable the Phoenix Suns wasted so much time with Markieff Morris that could’ve been spent on this surprising stretch-4, but what can you do? In any case, Leuer has boosted his upcoming free agency value, averaging 8.3 points and 5.3 rebounds — both career highs — in 18.5 minutes per game on efficient .475/.382/.763 shooting splits.

19. Ed Davis — One of the unsung heroes for the Portland Trail Blazers, Ed Davis is an ultra efficient reserve in limited minutes, averaging 6.5 points and 7.1 rebounds in just 20.8 minutes per game while shooting 61 percent from the floor. Throw in the defense and intangibles he brings to the table and the Blazers got a very good, highly underrated deal last summer with Davis.

18. Mason Plumlee — Mason Plumlee is not a great rim protector and he’ll probably never be a star big in this league, but he’s given the Portland Trail Blazers solid minutes as their starting center this year. He’s averaging 9.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game, so even though Rip City will be keeping an eye on possible upgrades moving forward, he’s still having a career year on a winning team.

17. Gorgui Dieng — Dieng’s minutes have been up and down from month to month, but in February when he played 35.3 minutes a night, he was averaging 14.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game. He’s averaging 10.0 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game on the season.

16. Festus Ezeli — If Ezeli could just stay healthy, he’d have a chance to prove just how good he already is. When Andrew Bogut was sidelined early in the year, Ezeli averaged 7.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game in 12 starts. His mobility and defense is a welcomed, preferred option over the recently added Anderson Varejao to back Bogut up off the bench.
