Nos. 44-36

44. Shayne Whittington — A rarely used reserve for the Indiana Pacers, Whittington has played a grand total of 17 minutes this season in six games. He just turned 25, so we brought him up from the 24-year-olds section.

43. Lorenzo Brown — Since joining the Detroit Pistons in mid-March, Lorenzo Brown has yet to suit up in a game over his first 11 contests with the team. Brown averaged 2.5 points per game in eight appearances for the shorthanded Phoenix Suns earlier in the season.

42. Greg Smith — I never thought Greg Smith was that bad a player, but he’s had problems sticking with any NBA team for long ever since his stint with the Houston Rockets came to an end. Now with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Smith has averaged 2.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game in eight appearances.

41. Cameron Bairstow — I still think Bairstow can be a decent third-string big in this league, but I’ll admit I’m 100 percent biased after watching him play at New Mexico for so long (the 505 isn’t going to rep itself, people). He hasn’t done much in his NBA career to prove me right, however, averaging 1.9 points and 1.6 rebounds per game in 18 appearances for the Chicago Bulls this year.

40. C.J. Wilcox — For a Los Angeles Clippers team that really needs bench depth to make any sort of postseason run, C.J. Wilcox has been unable to prove to Doc Rivers that he can help on that front. He’s only played in 19 games this season, shooting 31.3 percent from the floor in only 6.0 minutes a night.

39. Reggie Bullock — At what point do we give up on Reggie Bullock’s potential as a 3-and-D player in this league? Shooting 41.3 percent from long range on a limited number of attempts doesn’t exactly make up for averaging a meager 3.1 points in 10.5 minutes per game on a Detroit Pistons team whose system is ideally suited for his supposed skill set.

38. John Jenkins — Jenkins has played in 39 games between the Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns this season, averaging 4.1 points in 10.6 minutes per game. His 33.3 percent shooting from three-point range doesn’t exactly live up to his reputation as a sharpshooter, but he’s been much better in Phoenix, draining 47.8 percent of his 1.3 long range attempts per game.

37. Willie Reed — No, not Willis Reed, Willie Reed. Averaging 4.7 points in 10.9 minutes per game for the Brooklyn Nets this season, Reed is shooting 57.1 percent from the floor. He’s played in 39 games this season, so it’s not like he’s an edge of the rotation kind of player, but he’ll be out through the remainder of the season tending to a personal matter.

36. Solomon Hill — Solomon Hill isn’t anything special, but he does his part in limited but consistent minutes with the Indiana Pacers. He’s averaging 3.4 points and 2.5 rebounds in 13.5 minutes per game, suiting up in 55 games this year. He just turned 25, so we brought him over from our 24-year-olds section.
