Ranking The Top NBA Players By Age: Age 25
11. Jrue Holiday
Jrue Holiday‘s injuries have become a consistent concern for the New Orleans Pelicans, though you could say that about plenty of players on the roster at this point. But with Holiday being on a minutes restriction early in the season and shut down for the last month of it, it’s hard to gauge how his undeniable talent stacks up against his lack of durability.
On paper, Holiday just completed his best season since he was an All-Star with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2012-13. He averaged 16.8 points, 6.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game, and though he only shot 43.9 percent from the field and 33.6 percent from three-point range, he was a consistent source of offense for the Pellies coming off the bench.
In fact, NOLA’s bench was one of the few things it had going for them, with both Holiday and Ryan Anderson supplying that scoring punch for the second unit. But we’re now three years into Holiday’s Pelicans tenure, and he’s played in 34 games, 40 games and 65 games. That injury-proneness matters for the sake of these rankings, especially if he can’t log starter’s minutes moving forward.
