Analysis
Vanderbilt Commodores point guard Wade Baldwin IV is going to need time to develop at the next level. He has the body and raw skill set to be a force to be reckoned with, but has yet to put it all together in the way most believe he’s capable.
Physically, Baldwin IV looks the part of an NBA point guard.
In the wake of Kevin Stalling leaving Vanderbilt to become the next head coach of the Pittsburgh Panthers, Baldwin declared for the 2016 NBA Draft.
He certainly has the upside to warrant such a decision.
With a muscular frame and a wingspan that spans beyond the wildest of expectations, Baldwin is physically ready. He isn’t the fastest or most agile player, but he couples his strength with a lethal jump shot, intriguing court vision, and the ability to run the show in transition.
Baldwin IV has more going for him on paper than on the court from an NBA perspective, but this fearless playmaker will pique the interest of many general managers.
