Analysis
The California Golden Bears may not have achieved much, but the upside of the Top 2 players on the roster is ridiculous. The second of those two is Ivan Rabb, who is the Jaylen Brown of interior players in 2016.
Rabb doesn’t offer much fundamentally in the short-term, but he’s already an excellent offensive rebounder and explosive athlete.
Rabb’s flaws are fundamental, and that’s the foundation for his being an upside player. He’s very thin, but Rabb understands the game, positions himself well down low, and knows how to use the glass in order to make efficient plays around the basket.
Once Rabb’s range expands, and it should, he could provide a Chris Bosh type of two-way impact.
