10. Frank Kaminsky, Charlotte Hornets

Did we really expect a lot from Frank Kaminsky in his rookie season?

Michael Jordan and the Hornets sure did, as they turned down a deal at the deadline that could’ve landed them multiple lottery picks and other assets to draft Kaminsky with the hope that he was the versatile stretch big that Charlotte needed to contend in the Eastern Conference.

While he displayed a few flashes throughout the season he was ultimately disappointing to most NBA heads around the league and lost a lot of playing time to Cody Zeller, who developed into a better presence around the rim this year.

Can he still grow into a starter in the league? That answer is yes because of the value being put on having a three-point shot if you’re 6-foot-8 or taller. Kaminsky is a mismatch when his shot is falling, so his potential of being a productive player for the Hornets isn’t out of the question.

He has a lot of work to do this offseason but Kaminsky can still impress us in seasons to come. It just didn’t pan out this campaign.
