Damian Lillard will not let the Portland Trail Blazers die. No matter how many obstacles are encountered, the Trail Blazers have been able to overcome the odds and continue to compete for a berth in the 2016 NBA Playoffs.

With all due respect to the wonderful job done by everyone in Portland, without Lillard, none of this would’ve been possible.

Lillard is No. 5 in the NBA in scoring average at a career-best 25.8 points per game. He’s also dishing out 6.9 assists per contest, making an average of 3.2 3-point field goals, and getting to the line for 6.2 free throw attempts per outing.

Whether he’s spacing the floor, attacking the rack, or creating for his teammates, Lillard is getting the job done for his team.

Lillard proved himself this past week, scoring 33 points against the New Orleans Pelicans to help Portland pick up a much-needed win. After dropping one to the Dallas Mavericks, Lillard bounced back to help Portland defeat Rick Carlisle‘s crew by posting 27 points in a 109-103 affair.

Portland must close this season out strong to reach the playoffs, and Lillard intends to make that happen.
