As the Golden State Warriors approach the home stretch, here are five minor problem areas that need to be addressed.

The Golden State Warriors are 63-7 this season, posting the best record through the first 70 games of any season in NBA history. They have a historic point differential of plus-11.1, they have the soon-to-be repeat MVP in Stephen Curry, and they’re one of only two teams to rank in the top five for both offensive and defensive rating (with the other being the Spurs).

The Warriors could be the first team in NBA history to win 73 games, to go a perfect 41-0 at home and/or have a player set the new all-time high for Player Efficiency Rating. They’re elite by every measure, and if they win it all, they could go down as the greatest team in NBA history.

And yet, this team could still stand to improve, especially given their play since the All-Star Break.

To be fair, we’re probably nitpicking when it comes to a team that is still finding ways to win each and every night. But in 52 games before All-Star Weekend, the Dubs went 48-4, and in the 18 games since, they’re only 15-3. Curry and Klay Thompson have been unbelievably hot lately, but the rest of the Warriors’ supporting cast has been banged up and almost…mortal.

There’s still a very good chance Golden State gets to that 73-win mark and wins their second straight championship, but teams like the Spurs, Thunder or Cavaliers could provide a tough challenge in the postseason — and possibly even derail the Dubs’ title aspirations — if the Warriors don’t address the following five areas.
