Chicago Bulls, 1995-96
Record: 72-10
Won NBA championship

Without a doubt, the best season any team has ever had (as of this date) was the 1995-96 season for the Chicago Bulls. Those Bulls of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman and Phil Jackson. The only team to win 70 games in NBA history, they also began their second three-peat in the 1990s with this all-time great season.

Predictably, the Bulls were led by Jordan’s 30.4 points per game, and Pippen added 19.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game. Dennis Rodman led the NBA in rebounds with 14.9 per game, and it was the fifth of seven seasons in a row that he led the league in that category.

The Bulls swept the Miami Heat in the first round, beat the New York Knicks in five games in the semifinals, swept the Orlando Magic in the conference finals and finished the Seattle SuperSonics in six games in the NBA Finals.

Head coach Phil Jackson won NBA Coach of the Year, and  Jordan won pretty much everything he could get his hands on. He was NBA MVP, Finals MVP, All-Star Game MVP, and was named to the All-Defensive First Team.
