Denver Nuggets, 2012-13
Record: 57-25
Lost in first round

The 2012-13 Denver Nuggets were simply littered with players who would go on to be good rotational players elsewhere. The roster included players like Andre Iguodala, Andre Miller, Corey Brewer, Kosta Koufos, Evan Fournier and Timofey Mozgov. You can throw in JaVale McGee and Ty Lawson just for fun.

They also had Danilo Gallinari, Kenneth Faried and Wilson Chandler, all current Nuggets and definite NBA-quality starters.

In spite of some of the names on that roster and a great regular season, the Nuggets were unable to translate that success into the postseason, and were bounced by a dynasty in the making in the form of the Golden State Warriors in the first round.

That team featured rookies Harrison Barnes, Draymond Green and Festus Ezeli, as well as a second-season Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry in his third season.

It was a disappointing finish, but there is no shame in falling to the Warriors considering what they were about to become.
