Milwaukee Bucks, 1970-71

Won NBA championship
The Milwaukee Bucks didn’t have to wait long after the founding of their franchise to achieve greatness. After having a typically rough inaugural season and a much improved sophomore season thanks to the acquisition of rookie Kareem Abdul-Jabbar through the draft, the 1970-71 Milwaukee Bucks merged the old and the new when they acquired Oscar Robertson.
Kareem averaged a preposterous 31.7 points and 16 rebounds per game at just 23 years old, and Robertson averaged 19.4 points, 8.2 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game. Behind the strength of these two stars, the Bucks tore through the playoffs, beating the San Francisco Warriors 4-1, the Los Angeles Lakers 4-1, and the Baltimore Bullets 4-0 in the NBA Finals.
Abdul-Jabbar was the NBA scoring champion, named NBA MVP and was Finals MVP thanks to an average of 27 points and 18.5 rebounds per game.
