Oklahoma City Thunder, 2011-12
Record: 47-19
Lost in NBA Finals

The Oklahoma City Thunder were one of the youngest teams to ever go to the NBA Finals. Led by a core of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, both 23, and James Harden and Serge Ibaka, both 22, the Thunder blitzed through the first two rounds of the playoffs, losing just one game combined against the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers.

They hit their first bump in the road in the Western Conference Finals against the San Antonio Spurs, losing the first two games on the road before roaring back to take control of the series and send the Spurs home in six games.

The story of the 2011-12 OKC Thunder came to an end in the NBA Finals against the Miami Heat, when the young Thunder roster was overwhelmed by the seasoned and hungry Heat.

The Thunder were paced by Kevin Durant and his 28 points and eight rebounds per game and Russell Westbrook and his 23.6 points per game. Durant won his third straight NBA scoring title in 2011-12.
