9. Chris Dudley Throws the Ball

The disrespect meter doesn’t go much higher than what Shaquille O’Neal did to New York Knicks big man Chris Dudley. The dunk and celebration became so intense that, after the play, Dudley picked up the ball, hurled it at O’Neal, and continued to yell at The Big Aristotle.

Considering Shaq did this to a player who was listed at 6’11”, it’s hard to call it anything other than one of the greatest poster dunks of all time.

The dunk itself was rather pedestrian for O’Neal, as he spun out of the post and jammed it home on many an opponent. With the extra hip thrust that put him on top of Dudley and sent him stumbling to the ground, however, O’Neal gave the extra push to crack the list.

The actual push is what pushes O’Neal’s flush over Dudley from cracking the list into the conversation of the best posters ever.

The fact that Dudley stood up and literally hurled the ball at O’Neal elevates this posterization to even greater heights. Dudley then rushed to mid-court, shouted obscenities at the man who dunked over him, and displayed a pure and glorious fury.

You won’t find a response to a dunk any better than this.
