Ranking The Top NBA Players By Age: Age 24
10. Doug McDermott
With Tony Snell failing to step up and fill the void left by the injury-prone Mike Dunleavy, the Doug McDermott era has begun in the Windy City. Though he’s only averaging 9.5 points and 2.4 rebounds per game on the season, he’s bumped those numbers up to 14.1 points per game on superb .500/.415/.879 shooting splits since the All-Star Break.
In that span, he’s scored a career-high 30 points and reached the 20-point mark in four games. He’s still working on his consistency, but Dougie Fresh is finally getting his chance to live up to his pre-draft hype and his standing as one of the greatest scorers in NCAA history.
On the season, McDermott is shooting an efficient 42 percent from three-point range, which makes him that much more valuable to a Chicago Bulls team that needs the help on the perimeter. If there’s one blessing to be had from all the injuries this team has sustained in 2015-16, it’s all the experience McDermott is getting now.
