There has been much debate recently about how good the Golden State Warriors would be, if they had played in the 1990s. Many players from the ’90s think that the way the Warriors play would be too soft to last very long back when they played. This might be true, but many players from the ’90s have no room to talk.

With each different era, style of play and keys to being successful change, usually pretty drastically. In the ’90s, hard-nosed defense and teamwork were two areas that many teams focused on to reach their highest potential. Although these things are important in todays NBA, there are other areas that have become much more important to be a successful team.

The NBA’s most successful current team, the Warriors, have built the perfect formula in winning the most games possible. Great ball movement, knock down three point shooting, and scoring as quickly as possible, are the areas the Warriors and many other NBA teams in today’s game try to focus on.

Whether or not it is “ruining the game” like some former NBA players have said, the NBA is no doubt headed to a much more offense first league.

This doesn’t sit well with many players from the ’90s era and it might be because many of them wouldn’t do to well, if they were to play in today’s NBA. These 15 players, many of which had great careers during the ’90s, would have a tough time even making the floor in today’s NBA.
