17. Larry Nance Jr.

Larry Nance is as prone to making mistakes as any NBA rookie, and he’s only averaging 5.6 points and 5.0 rebounds in 19.7 minutes per game. But he’s also far more talented than the raw numbers suggest, especially when factoring in his elite athleticism and averages in 22 games as a starter.

With the Los Angeles Lakers‘ starting unit, Nance has posted 7.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game on 55.6 percent shooting. Though he’s mostly made a name for himself because of his high-flying dunks that call back to the days of his father, Larry Nance Sr., Nance Jr. has all the tools to be a well-rounded, hard-working player in this league.

He doesn’t have three-point range and still needs to refine his perimeter shot, but Nance is already well on his way to living up to his status as a surprising first round selection in last year’s draft.
