14. Bismack Biyombo

Bismack Biyombo is that rare breed of one-dimensional player who is superb on the defensive end but borderline inept on the offensive end. In any case, the Toronto Raptors were wise to snag this 23-year-old in free agency last year, since he’s bolstered the team’s defense coming off the bench behind Jonas Valanciunas.

In his fifth NBA season, Biyombo still hasn’t really lived up to his standing as the seventh overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft, but he’s certainly found the right role coming off Toronto’s bench as the team’s defensive enforcer and rim protector. In 22.3 minutes per game, Biyombo is averaging 5.4 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game.

He doesn’t provide much offense, but he’s efficient when he gets his looks around the basket, shooting 53.9 percent from the floor. His impending free agency will be interesting for the Raptors since Biyombo’s played his way into a nice new contract, but for the time being, this union is working well for both parties.
