7. Emmanuel Mudiay

Emmanuel Mudiay was a train wreck to start his rookie season, but since the start of 2016, he’s slightly improved the inefficient shooting that’s plagued him so far in his career.

On the season, Mudiay is averaging 12.1 points and 5.8 assists per game, though he’s only shooting 35.4 percent from the field and 29.9 percent from three-point range. However, he’s gone on a bit of a tear in March, averaging 21.6 points, 6.4 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game on far more efficient .458/.440/.643 shooting splits.

The Denver Nuggets have won four of those five March games, Mudiay ranks first among all rookies in assists this season and he’s drastically cut down on his turnovers since February, averaging only 2.4 per game.

He desperately needs to develop his three-point shot, but as his recent career-high 30-point performance against the Phoenix Suns showed, Mudiay is finally starting to prove himself worthy of his billing as a top-10 pick.
