8. LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers

The first major shake-up of this list has to be LeBron James falling all the way down to eighth. If I were grading social media wackiness, Bron-Bron would likely be first overall.

But this list is concerned with NBA performance this season, and while LeBron is still great he’s no longer one of the best two or three players the Association has to offer.

His averages of 24.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game are all great, as is his 50 percent shooting from the field.

LeBron’s 28.5 three-point percentage is less great. In fact, it’s not even good. Consistency is also becoming an issue for the aging King.

LeBron has shot 40 percent or worse in 11 out of 61 games thus far this season. Last year James did that 14 times, in 69 games played.

In his last year with the Miami Heat, LeBron shot less than 40 percent just five times in 77 total games played. The Cavaliers are relying slightly too much on him, and it’s starting to show. This version of LeBron remains a fantastic player, but efficiency and consistency are necessary to be one of the best handful of players in the NBA.

Eastern Conference players in general didn’t do well on this list. Along with Paul George and LeBron James, only one other player from the East made this list. No Eastern Conference players made the top five.
