The Washington Wizards have hit a wall since point guard John Wall led them to an improbable record of 30-30. The injuries continue to pour in, and the Wizards continue to pay the price, but Wall remains one of the best point guards in the NBA.

Wall is one of the best and most influential players in the Association, and it’s a shame that Bradley Beal can’t stay healthy enough to support him.

Wall is averaging a career-best 20.0 points per game, and is one-tenth of an assist per contest away from a season double-double. He creates 23.8 points via assists per game, which trails only Rajon Rondo as the No. 2 mark in the NBA.

For perspective on how important Wall has been to Washington’s success, he’s accounting for 42.6 percent of the Wizards’ total offense.

Wall offers elite production on offense, and is in line for a second consecutive All-Defensive Team selection. He’s No. 7 in the NBA in steals per game, and is holding his own against the best in the NBA in on-ball situations.

It’d be a shame for the NBA to complete a postseason without Wall participating in it.
