6. Experience

It is said often that experience is life’s greatest teacher. Well, the Spurs have plenty of it. The Hall of Fame trio of Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker have been together for 14 NBA seasons and became the winningest trio in NBA history back on Nov. 1 when they eclipsed 541 wins together.

The core group for the Warriors have already experienced the championship route (last year), but the adversity that the trio of Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker have overcome give them the easy nod in favor because you’ve seen them do it so many times.

This isn’t mentioning that Popovich has been their coach through all of their championships, which speaks volumes in the playoffs when the team hits dire situations. It leaves all of the role players an insanely strong shoulder to lean on in times of trouble.

The three aren’t as young and athletic as they once were, but there is not question that there is no other trio that has the basketball IQ  and playoff experience that matchup with Golden State’s.
