The Golden State Warriors have become a juggernaut that has the capability to cause havoc on the NBA for years on end if the core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green stays together. There isn’t one particular place to start the conversation of what makes them so dominant because it is a plethora of things.

That being said, the Warriors are a team that isn’t impossible to beat. We’ve only seen them be defeated six times out of 63 games this season so far, which is the definition of dominant, but not unbeatable.

As the Warriors have taken the league by storm, the San Antonio Spurs have been doing typical Spurs things, which translates to quietly playing great basketball. Golden State’s supremacy has overshadowed the Spurs brilliant 54-10 record. It seems a bit mind-blowing that a team with a 57-6 record has to look over their shoulder at all, but that is the case with these two teams.

Even though their records are close, there’s been a feeling that the Warriors will handle the Spurs when they likely meet in a Western Conference Finals matchup. The two teams have met once thus far–with the Warriors running away with a 30-point victory.
