Best Bargains

J.R. Smith ($4,700) scored 35.0 fantasy points against the Kings in their first meeting this season. He scored 22 points on a 44.4 percent shooting night from the field and 46.2 percent from three-point range. Scoring will be the key for Smith, but he also had more rebounds (four) and assists (two) in that game than his season averages. The Kings allow the most points out of any NBA team, so it should be a high-scoring game. Smith is projected to score 23.0 fantasy points.

Lance Stephenson ($4,400) scored 19.5 fantasy points in 24 minutes against the Celtics in their first meeting this season. He is still getting roughly the same amount of minutes, and has been on a nice little three-game streak where he is scoring 26.8 FPPG. The Celtics are 19th in rebounding percentage, which is an area where Stephenson can add fantasy value. He’s projected to score 19.0 fantasy points.

Players To Sit

Stephen Curry ($10,500) has not played well in two games against the Jazz this season. He’s only scoring 43.6 FPPG against them. His shooting numbers have suffered, falling to 41.2 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from three-point range. He also shoots better on the road than at home, which doesn’t bode well for his scoring threat on Wednesday. The Jazz are third in points allowed per game, which is a testament to their strong defense and slow pace. He’s projected to score 48.6 fantasy points.

Gordon Hayward ($6,900) has not played well against the Warriors this season, scoring 28.5 FPPG in two meetings with them. His scoring and shooting percentages are down against them. He’s shooting 32.4 percent on 34 shots from the field and is 2-for-10 from three-point range. He also shoots better at home than on the road. He’s projected to score 34.8 fantasy points.
