T.J. McConnell

T.J. McConnell is also unique among players on this list. McConnell is the only undrafted rookie to make it. That extra fire makes him work even harder and that’s shown in his play this season.

McConnell is shooting 47 percent from the field this season, while nailing 33 percent of his threes. He’s making just 59 percent of his free throws, which is likely part of why McConnell is scoring just six points per game.

The Philadelphia 76ers are giving McConnell just 20 minutes per game, which is a little on the low side considering just how bad Philly has been this season. Despite that, he’s still 10th among rookies in total minutes played this season.

McConnell has just missed one game for the 76ers thus far this season. That work ethic, along with the solid numbers he’s posted this season, means McConnell will likely continue to find work as his career progresses.

Whether that work will come as a starter or in a reserve role is still undetermined, but either way it’s doubtless that T.J. McConnell has some NBA level talent.
