Best Bargains

Danny Green ($4,600) is scoring 26.0 FPPG in two games against the Kings this season. He’s shooting 53.3 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from three-point range in the season series. He also has 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals per game against the Kings this year. He’s projected to score 23.6 fantasy points.

Josh Smith ($3,700) scored 22.8 fantasy points against the Bulls in their first meeting this season. He had eight points, seven rebounds and three assists in that game with the Clippers. He played 18 minutes in that game, but is getting slightly more than that with the Rockets now. Rebounding will be key, since the Bulls are good defensively and are top five in opponent field goal percentage. He’s projected to score 21.4 fantasy points, which projects better than a couple players in the $5,000 price range.

Players To Sit

Isaiah Thomas ($7,600) is scoring 27.4 FPPG in two games against the Cavaliers this season. He’s shooting 23.5 percent from the field in the season series and only scoring 17.0 points and averaging 4.0 assists per game in the season series, both down from his season averages of 21.7 points and 6.7 assists per game this season. If he continues his hot shooting, 55.0 and 60.0 percent from the field in his last two games, he could be on tap for a big night, but don’t plan on it. He’s projected to score 37.2 fantasy points.

DeMarcus Cousins ($10,100) is scoring 43.3 FPPG in two meetings with the Spurs this season. He is shooting 30.2 percent from the field and scoring 21.5 points per game in the season series. The Spurs have good frontcourt depth and will make an impact defensively. They are the top team in points allowed per game and opponent field goal percentage. Cousins will likely struggle offensively, which doesn’t bode well for his fantasy value. He’s projected to score 50.0 fantasy points, but your (DraftKings) money can be better spent elsewhere.
