Top Four PFs

  1. Derrick Favors (Jazz) – $7,100 @ Pelicans (8th)
  2. Gorgui Dieng (Timberwolves) – $6,600 vs. Nets (27th)
  3. Bobby Portis (Bulls) – $5,200 vs. Rockets (21st)
  4. Ryan Anderson (Pelicans) – $5,600 vs. Jazz (3rd)

Rationale:

  • Favors is scoring 40.6 FPPG in two meetings with the Pelicans this season. He’s shooting 70.0 percent from the field and scoring 25.5 points per game in the season series. He’s only averaging 6.5 rebounds per game in the series, and needs to increase that against the Pels, who are 23rd in rebounding percentage. Favors is projected to score 32.8 fantasy points.
  • Dieng scored 42 fantasy points against the Nets in their first meeting. He had 20 points and 10 rebounds in that game, while shooting 75.0 percent from the field. Expect him to have a big role in the gameplan in a favorable matchup against Thaddeus Young. He’s projected to score 32.0 fantasy points.
  • Portis hasn’t played against the Rockets this season. Houston has been bad against opposing power forwards and with Portis’ rebounding skills he has a high upside. The Rockets are 22nd in rebounding percentage, and Portis is shooting 48.1 percent from the field at home. He’s projected to score 20.9 fantasy points, but he could explode for much more.
  • Anderson is scoring 23.1 FPPG in three games against the Jazz this season. He’s only scoring 13.3 points per game and shooting 33.3 percent from the field in the season series. He shoots 46.9 percent from the field and 42.3 percent from three-point range at home, so he should have a better shooting night. He’s projected to score 34.3 fantasy points
