Best Bargains

Marcus Smart ($4,700) is scoring 14.7 FPPG in three games against the Knicks this season. He is shooting 27.8 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from three-point range in the season series. Smart needs to be the strong two-way player that he’s evolving into with steals and points to get easy baskets. That’s where his fantasy value will be maximized. He’s projected to score 25.8 fantasy points.

Shabazz Muhammad ($4,200) scored 21 fantasy points in his first meeting with the Bucks this season. He was slightly better in nearly every statistical category in that first game, but points and rebounds will be the determining factor in his fantasy performance. He is projected to score 21.0 fantasy points.

Players To Sit

Nicolas Batum ($6,600) is scoring 26.8 FPPG in two meetings against the Pacers this season. He has struggled shooting 33.3 percent from the field and 30.0 percent from three-point range in the season series against the Pacers. Indiana is ninth in opponent field goal percentage and fifth in three-point percentage this season. Scoring will be key for Batum to make good on fantasy value, and should be left out of lineups due to his struggles against the Pacers.

Kevin Love ($7,000) is scoring 21.0 FPPG in three games against the Wizards this season. His points (9.3) and rebounds (7.3) are drastically down in the season series from his season averages this season. He has shot 33.3 percent from the field and is 0-for-5 from three-point range against the Wizards this season. His numbers in both points and rebounds are troublesome considering the Wizards are 23rd in points allowed per game and 28th in rebounding percentage.
