The Golden State Warriors are 54-5, and while it’s easy to praise Stephen Curry as the superstar he is, it’s imperative to acknowledge why the team is as good as it is. There’s an overwhelming amount of depth on the roster, and multiple players deserve to be praised as vital assets.

Very few of those well-rounded players compare to the greatness of Draymond Green.

Green may or may not be an individual star, but he is the ultimate team player. Whether he gets 15 field goal attempts or five, he goes out and plays his role to absolute perfection without even the slightest moment spent considering that he deserves more touches.

That may seem as simple as it is, but there aren’t many players who are willing to sacrifice any and everything for the betterment of the team.

Green’s selflessness can be found in the fact that he leads the NBA with 11 triple-doubles. He’s the Warriors’ No. 1 rebounder and facilitator, as well as the best defender on the roster, and the player who stabilizes both the perimeter and interior.

It doesn’t get much more important than that.
