15. David Lee

Like most of the players we’ve seen so far, we’re dealing with an exceedingly small sample size here. David Lee has only played in four games for the Dallas Mavericks since he was bought out by the Boston Celtics, but given Rick Carlisle‘s reputation for turning washed up players and no-names into productive role players, this was an ideal destination for him.

In his first four games with the Mavs, Lee is averaging an extremely productive 9.5 points and 7.8 rebounds in 19.0 minutes per game. He’s shooting an efficient 64 percent from the floor and has helped Dallas to a 3-1 record in that span.

Compared to his mere 30 appearances with the Celtics, this boost in his role and playing time is a welcome sight for Lee after leaving the defending champs to seek out more minutes. Now that he’s left Boston, it appears Carlisle and the Mavs are the perfect remedy at this point in Lee’s career.
