19. Meyers Leonard

Though he’s not exactly having a C.J. McCollum-like breakout season for the Portland Trail Blazers, Meyers Leonard is slowly but surely starting to come into his own as Terry Stotts’ designated sixth man, bumping his numbers up to 8.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in 22.0 minutes per game on the season.

Though his production has often been hit-or-miss, he’s averaging 12.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 made three-pointers per game over his last three contests. He’s shot 69.2 percent from long range over that stretch, and though that’s a microscopic sample size, Leonard’s 37.2 three-point percentage on the season suggests that with the right confidence, he can become a dangerous stretch-5.

Leonard’s shooting percentages are down compared to last year, but he’s nearly doubled his field goal attempts per game compared to then, so a slight dip was to be expected. If he can continue to build confidence in an expanded role, it’s only a matter of time before he become an invaluable fixture in Portland’s rotation.
